Ali Rıza Babaoğlan
Ali Rıza Babaoğlan, (born August 1986, Mersin) Turkish Computer Engineer and Author.
Babaoğlan who assimilate world’s digital transform efficiently and has different studies about these transforms, has graduated from Yusuf Kalkavan Anatolian High School and then he studied Computer Engineering at Başkent University with a full scholarship.
Before his graduation, he worked as a student employee at Microsoft and he gave his support for development of Microsoft Office 2007 product family and he gets The Award of Microsoft’s Best Student Employee in 2007 – 2008 term.
After Zurich training, Babaoglan returns back to Turkey to join the first Turkish National Technology Team which is started at 2008 by Turkish Minister of Education and represents Turkey for Information Technology and Communication areas at the IT Olympics in Rotterdam, Netherlands. After the contest, he makes a presentation about his studies and projects to the queen of Netherlands.
In his university years, Babaoğlan also worked as a volunteer of United Nations and worked on Millenium Development Goals 2015 Programme in which he lived at Nairobi and Mombasa for volunteering activities for more then a month.
Babaoğlan is still continuing to study MBA Programme at Bilkent University.
Babaoğlan has worked at both local and global IT companies like Tübitak, Microsoft, IBM and SAP.
He also worked at Linkedin, as a Territory Manager for Turkish Speaking Markets, and was located in Ireland for more than a year.
In 2009, he was selected and awarded as Turkey’s 10 Most Successful Young People by JCI (Junior Chamber International Association). As a young computer engineer, he is also mentioned in a Turkish Book named “Başarılı Gençler” (Successful Youngs).
Babaoğlan, as an effective spokesperson, has been attending to events related with the future of internet and social media both in Turkey and on abroad. He has spoken at big events and panels in Germany, Azerbaijan, Italy and Ireland.
In parallel with his studies he attended a TV programme in 2011 and made analysis about “Role of Social Media in Public Sector” and he mentioned about his works about “Internet Effects on Politics”.
Afterwards Babaoğlan continued his works on social media and politics related topics. He writes some articles about ‘The Effects of Social Media on Elections‘ and gave a detailed interview, entitled “Good politicians must tweet good!”
Babaoğlan also arranges Garry Kasparov, World Chess Champion, to come to Turkey second time and leads him to work on FATİH Project (Educational mobile transformation project of Turkey – $ 8B). Babaoğlan also had a detailed research and gave an interview to Sabah Journal after a planned suicidal attack to Turkish Prime Minister.
After all his valuable studies and works, Babaoğlan’s name is still in The List of “World’s Most Successful Young People”
