Here’s a piece of LinkedIn trivia you may not know, Turkey was LinkedIn’s fastest growing market in 2012.
After being the LinkedIn’s fastest growing market in 2012, we had our first ever corporate recruiting event in Turkey on April 30th. Over 160 recruiting professionals attended, which speaks to the high level of interest in finding new ways to recruit, under the backdrop of Istanbul’s beautiful weather.
There are at least three ways in which Turkish talent acquisition leaders are similar to their counterparts around the world:
1. They care about the talent brand. According to speaker Yavuz Elkin, Senior VP of Denizbank of “Denizbank is no more using traditional recruitment methods to attract talents.”
2. They are moving on from posting and waiting. As speaker Esra Altun, International Director of LC Waikiki put it, “Linkedin is the best experience for LC WAIKIKI to search the top talents.”
3. They are also using the talent data that Linkedin Talent Solutions provides to make better recruiting decisions and learning from it.
On the event, Prof. Dr. Remzi Sanver, President of Bilgi University also mentioned that Linkedin is a global way to create business connections.
